Restorative Justice Facilitator Training

What is covered in this training?
This three-day training event prepares our schools and communities to respond to rising juvenile crime in the south suburbs. A proven method to promote community safety, restorative justice builds safe communities by holding youth accountable, developing responsible behaviors, restoring and respecting victims, and empowering communities to meet the obligation of providing for the general welfare of its members with a proven approach to promoting community safety. By the end of the seminar, participants will learn how to use the restorative justice method in their professional lives.
Dates: Saturday, November 7; Friday, November 13; and Saturday, November 14
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Training Details
November 7: Basic Restorative Justice Training
All registered attendees meet in PSC’s Business and Community Education Center Auditorium, 202 South Halsted Street, Chicago Heights, IL 60411
November 13 – 14: Participants choose to follow one of two facilitation tracks.
Facilitation Track workshops are held at the Adult Training and Outreach Center (ATOC) on the Prairie State College main campus.
Continuing Education for Professionals
This workshop offers the following:
- 15 CEU hours for Social Workers
- 15 CPDU hours for Teachers

This movie focuses on the spouses point of view, as it depicts a husband’s experiences of coping with placing his wife into a nursing home and discovers how she transfers her affections to a fellow resident.
